I'm looking for a diagram/video of both Bo kata Tenryu No Kon, and Gekkisai. If anyone has them or knows where I can go to get them I'd really appreciate it.

Gekkisai, as I'm told in Shotokan, is a bo kata. I'm not sure about other styles.

I havent heard of that one being a bo kata. It is the first kata that you start with in Goju ryu.

Here is a step-by-step pictorial guide to doing Jutte with a bo.

Its not my work and I dont claim to be able to do this convincingly (yet), but its good fun trying!

The author (Elmar T Schmeisser) puts a plausible set of moves together to run through the kata completely and he could well have found the main reason that Jutte exists (to practise bo moves without attracting attention to the fact!).

Shotokan uses NO weapons. Thats one of its main ideas. However several of our kata as pointed out like Bassai Sho, Jittie, and others can have weapons applyed to them but no major Shotokan org. does weapon training to my knowledge...

With that said I have played with a Bo some. Im no expert but you can apply basic bo strikes to any of the Heian kata pretty easily. Same hold basically ture for the advanced kata but you have to work with them some.

(General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."

Yes I'm aware Shotokan is a strict empty hand style but I also know about many who also wish to practice weapons to help balance their training.
