Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone still studies Bunkai within traditional weapon Kata training. (Or empty hand Kata for that matter). :-?

Hi all,

*putting on my Oriental accent here*

To not know the bunkai of a kata is the same as looking at words and not knowing the letters in them.

Yes, you guys can quote me... :D

My nightly prayer..."Please, just let me win that PowerBall Jackpot just once. I'll prove to you that it won't change me!"

Every class we work on a bunkai for one of our katas. Its very informative and helps you to understand why certain movements are peformed. Its an invaluable training tool.

of its own accord before there are any actual

hostilities...It is best to win without fighting.
