username237 Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 Call me old fashioned but does anyone agree with me that the best weapon you can ever use is your fist. It comes from your mind and shows spirit and determination much better than any artificial weapon would. Anyone agree?
Tobias_Reece Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 I understand you're point Joanne. However, if I was in any combat situation, I know I would rather put my Matayoshi Okinawan Nunchaku-justu training to the test. Call me a wimp, but I feel a long safer with some nunchaku in my hands. Oh, but I would rather use my karate skills instead of my sai-jutsu skilss. If you see what I mean I'm confusing myself. moobrack Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 it depends on your opponent, if he has a pole, or a b/ball bat, I would prefer Nunchaku, if he had nothing, I would prefer to use my fists, it looks better in court, and to the cops. Jiggy9 Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 It all depends on the situation.... I mean if someone is about to shoot you with a gun from a distance - Youre going to be wishing you had longer weapon then youre arms or legs. Shotokan Karate Black Belt ==Defend the path of Truth==
SBN Doug Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 If someone is about to shoot me with a gun, from a distance, I'm going to wish I had faster legs!!!!!! But I agree on your point about it depending on the situation. Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
SaiFightsMS Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 That is a good point Joanne. Actually I think the best weapon is ultimately the brain. For, without it we cannot apply correctly any defense. And by the way Joanne I am starting to really enjoy reading your posts. Sai
Joecooke007 Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 I'm not trying to be mean or anything but how long do you think that your hands would go against a katana? Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
username237 Posted December 3, 2001 Author Posted December 3, 2001 any weapon, no matter how long can be fought against if you have the right technique so why you say that i dont know?
KickChick Posted December 3, 2001 Posted December 3, 2001 Different situations call for different forms of defense...and therefore different weaponry. I feel there is no superior "weapon" persay ...aside from the brain...'intellect' wins in the end. Its the user that must first possess the skill --anyone punch, kick, slice, dice, shoot, whatever!...Its how you use your most deadliest weapon! My best weapon? ..
