WolverineGuy
Its not a bad thing if that's what you're looking for. Tournament competition and effective self defense are two completely different things. Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon." bigtymer
If you’re looking for a style that will teach you how to kick butt without the other extra stuff thrown in then Kenpo is what you need. Don't get me wrong they have forms but the forms incorporate the techniques that you learn in class. You'll never see a real big front-stance or stuff like that. It is more street savvy than old school traditional. I've been TKD for 20 some odd years and have learned more self-defense stuff in Kenpo in the last 2 years then TKD. Check it out see if it's you cup of tea. http://www.ltatum.com/movies/Week6/TipOfTheWeekMedW6.html This is one of the basic techniques you would learn. Just my two cents. "Way of the intercepting fist to your floating ribs, Leave yourguard open again and get a second hit. Breathe in through the nose outthe mouth I admire your courage for trying to come and duke it out." RED CLOUD - "When Kenpo Strikes"
