You know, the acting was sub-par, and the martial arts shown in the movie were less than stellar...and anyone that trains with kata to win at point sparring is asking to get his head removed from his body. That's not why I liked the movie. The message is what got me. :) Sure, I'm a sucker for cheesy martial arts movies, but that particular film inspired me to go learn a martial art. :)

This movie is impossible to find on DVD! Though I checked ebay and found it going for like $60.00!! So I suspect it is out of print now. :( Too bad, I like this movie and would love to own it.

I have all 3 Karate Kid movies on DVD, as a special edition box set.

I love KK, sooooo cheesy, yet soooo watchable too. Mr Miyagi comes out with some classic lines.

yeh, the box set of 3 movies on 2 dvds. i want badly. what did you think of "the next karate kid" now that was crap. I loved the karate kid movies tho. but daniel san became daniel fat in the last one, and they used a previous characters name "johnny" which you shouldnt really do.

as for the best one. 1 and 2 are about even. i cant help singing "your the best in town" whenever i think about point sparring.

fantastic

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong, and I am NOT a big man.
