Even my Instructor liked Karate Kid. And he normally feels about MA films the same way a mother of young kids feels about sugar (avoid at all costs!). He was quite impressed how accurate it was and the lessons it taught.

My opinion-Welcome to it.

The fight choreographer invented the crane kick...came up with it on the spot cuz the directors needed a signature move. But he was the only person unvolved with the movie who was a black belt.

Actually, there were two black belts involved in the film. Fumio demura, who doubled for Pat Morita, and Pat Jhonson, who was the overall co-ordinator.

I have always loved Karate Kid. It was my main inspiration for taking karate in the first place. I think part two is the best. It was a great movie! :brow:
