Joecooke007 Posted November 26, 2001 Posted November 26, 2001 I have noticed something. I take Goju Ryu karate and the founder of the form is Chojun Miyagi. I was watching karate kid the other day and the form that Mr. Miyagi is teaching Daniel san is almost exactly Goju Ryu. And his teachers name is Miyagi. Somebody working on that movie had done their history research. Do any of you have connections like that? Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee

Withers M.A.A. Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 Pat Morita is a Hox though. However, Fumio Demura did the stunt work for him. That is pretty cool. I also heard that someone tried sueing the makers of that movie for using the Miyagi name. Don't know how much truth is behind that though. 2nd Degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and Tae Kwon Do. 1997 NASKA competitor-2nd place Nationally in Blackbelt American Forms. Firearms activist!
