There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look good at your wedding. And anyone who thinks abstaining from activities that may cause things like black eyes or visible bruises has a lot of growing up to do.

Congrats on your upcoming marriage :D . I agree that you have two options which is either ask not to spar at all or spar with no face contact. I spose it depends on how much you trust your sparring partners in the dojo. :karate:

Well, we're not supposed to ever have face contact in my school while sparring (you're supposed to pull your strike before it lands), but that's not saying that it never happens.
