ZR440
Iron Maiden ROOOOOOOCK!! Did anyone catch them on their most recent tour? I went to Sheffield Arena to see them and I can honestly say it was the best gig I've ever been to, and I've been to some crackers over the years. Yup, last summer's tour. Dio opened up for Maiden. That was worth the six hours of driving to see. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
renketsu
Not seen Maiden live (unless the Maiden England video counts ) but I have seen Metallica at Donnington Monsters of Rock - what a class weekend (and mega-hangover) Is the old Maiden stuff played much at the gigs now-a-days? I'm taking stuff pre-Blaze here as I have to say he didnt do much for me and the new stuff with Bruce back isnt too great either Andy. I wasn't a big fan of their new album when I first heard it, but I've played it a lot recently and it's really grown on me. Their live version of Passchendaele (sp?) is ace, ditto for the live version of the song Dance of Death. Any UK guy/gals going to any of the festivals over here this summer?? I'm off to the Carling Leeds weekend do, but only for one day. I'm also going to Download, which promises to be most excellent. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..."
