ZR440 Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 Yeah, their latest is starting to grow on me also. Nicko is getting better with age, although I wish he wouldn't wear spandex anymore. I'm also starting to enjoy The Best of Bruce 2CD set the more I listen to it (like right now). It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
blitzcraig Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 what about cradle of filth....I really like the guitar and keyboards and nice singing...the growels get old though #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
Red Triangle student Posted June 25, 2004 Author Posted June 25, 2004 I think that Maidens new works are cool, Dance of Death is a really good Album. "To be elated at success, and dissappointed at defeat, is to be the child of Circumstances." I wish I followed that rule! ^^ I hate Losing!
aefibird Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 what about cradle of filth....I really like the guitar and keyboards and nice singing...the growels get old though Yeah Cradle Of Filth are good too. They were amazing at Donnington Ozzfest in 2001. I read recently (in Metal Hammer) that each of Dani Filths stage costumes cost over £200! Has anyone heard anything by Slash's new band Velvet Revolver? They're not bad, but I prefer classic Guns n Roses. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." renketsu Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 what about cradle of filth....I really like the guitar and keyboards and nice singing...the growels get old though Yeah CoF are good and I dont mind the growling, but it takes some explaining when I give someone a lift in the car and I am playing CoF! I have to say 'Dusk and her embrace' is my fave song of all of theirs, although 'Shallow be thy grave' (cover of Hallowed be thy name by Maiden) is up there too Has anyone heard anything by Slash's new band Velvet Revolver? Yeah... I have the Velvet Revolver Contraband album in my car and its definitely growing on me. I never was a big GnR fan and dont have any of their albums so cant really compare the two bands much! A friend of mine has even started to recognise various bands now - she said "this is Zyklon, isn't it" when I gave her a lift back from karate the other night. She was right too, which is quite an achievement for someone whose musical knowledge stops at about Bon Jovi. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." whitedragond Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Love the Maidens... Would love them even more if they came to Utah!!!! Anyone read the concerting/stage/electric information (I think it was on one of albums I have, don't quite remember which one it was) about how much power and what it took to setup the stage in the "good old days"?
ZR440 Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 I think that was listed on Live After Death. It even indicated the amount of food, beverage, trucks, etc. Must have been a logistical nightmare. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
