Treebranch Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 The best style of streetfighting is the one that focuses on the realities of a street confrontation. The best MA is one that will teach that it's more important to survive than to win. There is no winning in a street fight. When you have the philosophy of winning as your primary goal in a confrontation you will experience defeat many times and never understand that ego has no place in combat. 47MartialMan Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I think the best style in CRAZY style. If you can fight crazy and like you have nothing to live for and nothing to regret. You will mostly always win, and if your really sick, let out a curling cackle when your beating someone to a pulp. I saw a mountain looking man scare off 4 gangsters without touching them. They surrounded him and yelled threats. He just did this insane cackle and put his hand into the knife hand position ( i believe it's called ). Then he put it next to one guys chest and said " You, Heart. " Next he pointed to the next guys neck and said " You, Throat. " Next guy, " You, Eye." And the last guy he just let a cackle off. Like I say, if you want to win but lose sanity, turn crazy and open up a can, also never lose eye contact, strike fear into their hearts! He's lucky they did have a gun a shoot him out of his misery.

Nicely written..............
Treebranch Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Thanks 47! "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Treebranch Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Sure. I was kind of paraphrasing something my teacher said to us once. It made sense to me. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
47MartialMan Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 What is your teacher's name? How old is he?
Treebranch Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 He's about 35, his name is Tim Brown. Why do you ask? "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
47MartialMan Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 Treebranch Was that his words, or something else his teacher told him? Anyway, Tim Brown sounds well-rounded and true. In other words, a fine example of a good teacher.
Treebranch Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Well it might something Soke Hatsumi said or wrote and my teacher said something along the same lines. I was simply paraphrasing what my teacher said once. He is a great teacher and also the product of a great teacher as well. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
