what is the best style for street fighting

Recommended Posts

well if i was attacked in the strret i would use a mixture of all what i have learnt such as karate kickboxing judo nin jitsu aikido and ju jitsu.

Karate is like an explosion, not like paint drying!

yeah somehow aikido works good on the street although i had a very weird impression of beeing a pansy during my time as an aikido. (no offence intended)

Be everything. Be nothing.

its not always the stlye, but the fighter and his level of training, garuntee you that some one like mike tyson , dont let the man fool you is a very dangerous man even at his age will beat the living sh!t out of any karate fighter you pit him against, why because of his training, when he trains he is ready to tear you head off, many martial artists dont train properly or to the intensity most boxers train to period.

:x Joint locks are not useless, their just really hard to perfect and apply. I've stopped more fights with simple hapkido wrist locks, than I've won with Muy Thai, Judo, Shotokan or Tae Kwon Do. And no one really got hurt. Hey new comer, JKD is a great style to start with because it has so many elements of other styles. In it u can decide which is really best for u and then specialise if your so inclined.

a good way of being effective as you can be, is to throw away styles and limitation, learn as much as you can a bout all areas of combat and not just one, the body, mind , and spirit must be trained together as one, this is a way of being as effective as you can be
