How do you summon your "Chi"

Recommended Posts

Hi, i have been researching on the so called aspect of chi. This is meant to be the focus of the mind so strong that the strength is unbelievable. So i ask myself in comparison to shotokan karate, is this Zanchin or kime? :-?

I usually use a 16 ounce filet mignon, a lobster tail, and fine wine.

Actually though we had a black belt do his black belt thesis on Chi.

It was actually very impressive. I am going to see if i can get a copy and post it here. I think alot of people would enjoy it

Well, the concepts of Ki (or Chi or Qi or whatever you wanna call it) are slightly different from Zanshin and Kime. At a basic level, zanshin is concerned with 'awareness' and kime with physical strength and force.

I too have been researching "Chi". Chi Kung (Breathe Work, Air Work, Effort, Intention; please don't harp on me about correct translation; correct it if you must, but you know what I mean.) was designed to promote internal energy (Chi) through breathing, meditation, moving excersises, and standing postures. Developing this "empty force" practice, creating a chi kung method which helps practitioners achieve and even deeper and more effective level of chi control. To further define chi as related closely to the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. Some people call it the body's life force. Yoga stylists call it prana. It strengthens one's immune system, it slows down and partially reverses the effects of anti-oxidant damage to body cells. I think basically what it (Chi) is yet one more of the marvels that we have in our bodies, and just as you work on a technique to make it better, when you work on your breathing; which oxegenates the blood. The more oxegen we can put into our bodies, the better it preforms. Faster and clearer thinking, more strength with quicker muscle responce. It's a very interesting subject, and I am no expert; I study and practice faithfully I-chuan Chi Gong every morning. I am starting over, but back when I was a teen I did the same and I noticed after about 9 months(one should not focus on time, only daily practice) something happening to me, stronger indeed!

You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.
