Ironberg Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Sometimes I like to work on my "root" and "structure" of my stances by holding them for a long time while holding weights. It has helped me feel more solid while preforming kata. Just some 2 cents. Killer Miller Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Staying grounded is to relax all upper body tension, relax lower body tension, move through your lower diagphram, provide outside tension in your feet and legs. You might say, "how do I relax lower body and maintain ourside tension?" Just think moving you knees outward while gripping the floor, and do this via breathing of the lower diagphram... The body doesn't move until the lower diagphram moves first... - Killer Miller - Mizu No KokoroShodan - Nishiyama SenseiTable Tennis: http://www.jmblades.com/Auto Weblog: http://appliedauto.mypunbb.com/Auto Forum: http://appauto.wordpress.com/
