Thuggish
i dunno it was whatever style kung fu- if you ask me all that stuff (karate, wing chun, tkd, etc) sucks and its0"fighting" and training has little basis in reality. a broken arm throws no punches
Drunken Monkey
no offence but how could you spend some time leanring at a kung fu school and not know the name of the style... strikes me as being a bit odd. do you mean that they never mentioned its name? post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite." ahultqui
Um maybe this is just my new commer type view of MA in general, but I dont see the fighting aspect of it being taught solely for the real world, sure LOTS of people go to MA classes to learn self defence, but I dont think in essence, that this is the real driving force behind teaching MA and why MA has become so popular around the world. I also dont believe that the training has to be based in reality, the training itself can be used for a number of reasons, Self Defence as I mentioned above, fitness, mental and religious well being ?
