MysticRonin101 Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hi, I'm taking Karate and Brazilian Jujutsu. I'm trying to buy a white thick gi (the type used in grappling like judo) to use for both arts. I like it plain white and nothing else (no logos or any of that commercial design please) Can anyone give me some pointers on where to look? Thank you
cross Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Talk to your instructors, or buy a martial arts magazine which will probably contain the details of a number of different suppliers.
krunchyfrogg Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 RMPL There's a 3 page thread only two threads lower than yours (when this was posted) all about buying a gi. http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=11302 "A life is not important, except in the impact it has on other lives."-- Jackie Robinson"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."-- Edmund Burke
aefibird Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Are you from the US or the UK? If you're from the UK I recommend Blitz heavyweight karate gi. I wear it for both karate and aikido and it's fine for both. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
CloudDragon Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I recommend century if you are in the US, if you don't get what you want they have a great return policy. A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!
