Thank you so much! I believe in order to become a better martial artist you also need to understand what how that happens (Improving your fitness 110% everyday).

Rule #1: Play the game to the limit. Damn the consequences.

Yes interesting reading. I can't say I agree with the muscle training until "failure" as the web author states it. In most people , 70-80% is more than sufficient to see huge benefits.

 

Then again, I am guilty as charged of training until I crawl out of the gym on my weight / running workouts.

 

I love training though and seeing how hard I can push myself

Yeah the training till failure sounds like a typical kyokushin exercise...

Training until failure isn't bad. That's how I do it. I'll do as many push ups as I can in one set until I can't push myself up again. That's all he means by it. For some of us (myself included), it doesn't take that many. Crunches are another story. I can do many, many sets of crunches, and in fact I don't think I've ever done so many that I just can't do another. The burning pain may stop me, but it isn't like the arms where the muscle just refuses to respond.
