blitzcraig Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Its good to hear women can be the same as men in this feild. The same type of thing goes for practicly anything not just MA's. Like, my ex used to hang out at her ex's house with his parents and his sister cuz his sister was her other best friend(other than me). I used to get jelious when she would go over there and feel wierd about it but I needed to realize that that was one thing she enjoyed and I should have respected that more. So beka, any guy who cant respect your love for the martial arts isnt worth your time now. good luck #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
Rich67 Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but why is this topic even being discussed in this particular portion of the forum? I think it needs to be moved to GENERAL CHAT. Mixed Martial Artist
Beka Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but why is this topic even being discussed in this particular portion of the forum? I think it needs to be moved to GENERAL CHAT. I posted it there, one of the moderators or whatever moved it here. DON'T BLAME ME!!! I THINK IT'S MISPLACED HERE, TOO!!!
krunchyfrogg Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 I just wanted to clairfy what I said on page 2: Although my fiancée isn't a warrior now, I would completely support her if she were to pick up any form of martial arts. OTOH, there is such a thing as spending too much time together, and I use my training as a stress reliever in addition to the typical things (staying in shape, learning to fight, ect.), and as much as I love this woman, she can sure stress me out! monkeygirl Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Just to clarify, folks: General Chat is for topics that have nothing to do with martial arts. Even if this topic isn't really asking a question about martial arts, it is directly related to MA. The General Martial Arts forum is for "Items of interest to practitioners of any martial art", which opens up a lot of possibilities beyond techniques and such. We've had similar topics in the past, and this is where they go. Happy posting 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.

CapitalKarate Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 I can't believe there's actually a forum about dating on a MA site . But I do understand where all of ya are coming from, it's easier to get along with someone/have a relationship with someone (male or female) if you have similar interests, I would LOVE to find a christian girl my age who loved the martial arts, even if she were better than I. But, I've given up on finding such a woman, lol. O well, hope all works out for you all! P.S. bout the link someone gave to the MAist who was posting a personal ad.... mormonism isn't anything like christianity. Joshua Brehm-When you're not practicing remember this; someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you meet them, they will beat you.
