zerolimitii
gonna do some taekwondo shopping tommorow im gonna buy adidas sparring gear, mouthpiece, cup and other accessories. u think i should buy a jump rope too? not those pink girly generic ones but the ones that increase speed or whatever. i was also thinking of buying focus pads too since i heard they increase speed and reaction time. but its just a pad, how is it so different to a paddle? Red J
Jumprope: Get a leather one with ballbearings. My #1 item.....a good pair of running shoes. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
White_Tiger
If you are talking about the small square focus pads they are more versatile than the paddle pads. The focus pads have straps on the back so they can be used for punching, as well as kicks. Not to discount what Red J said...I like the thin plastic speed jump ropes. They are much faster than the leather ones. Good luck in your training!

White Warlock
Not to discount what Red J said...I like the thin plastic speed jump ropes. They are much faster than the leather onesI have a pair of those and... i hate them. In order to use them, i have to put on my shoes and wear shin guards (okay, slight exaggeration with the shin guards, but only slight). Those things are vicious if you make a misstep, and i'm not much of a masochist when it comes to staying fit. I like to exercise near or on the beach, so being forced to wear my shoes while jumping in sand is, well... annoying.
