sindian Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Do any of you use rash guards when you roll? Any brands you'd recommend? Links to cheap, good rash guards would also be appreciated.
sindian Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 I guess I should've checked the older threads: http://karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=11676&sid=9a8bccf368490683c18a54cdb12c67db I actually did a search before posting, but that thread didn't come up. I'd still appreciate any other recommendations.
SevenStar Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I haven't clicked on that link yet, but I use vitamins&minerals rashguards... they are excellent. Brazilian top team member adriano lucio is sponsored by them, and as we are under him, we get rash guards through him/them. Also, under armour has some pretty good ones. I've got one by a company called heay that's not bad - I've never really seen them in stores though.
JoeSchmo Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 hey guys, when i grapple, i sometimes get some rashy red itchy spots on my arms, do you guys know exactly what causes this and the technical name? Also, are there any ways to prevent or treat this without wearing a long sleeve rash guard?
MMACHAMP Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 SevenStar you train under american top team...if you do so do i...and ussually i just wear sprawl grappling shorts with no shirt. Black belt? Yes i have a black belt but that belt only covers 2 inches of my butt. The rest i got to cover on my own.Royce Gracie - Jiu-jitsu master

Its basically athletes foot, except its not on your foot.Lamisil clears that up in a couple of days (or you could go hardcore and bleach it)
UseoForce Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 I like Under Armor, too.Any siginificant danger of getting ringworm, rashes, etc, when wearing a gi? If it works, use it!If not, throw it out!
elbows_and_knees Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 if the mats aren't cleaned regularly, then definitely.
