Ironberg
What an excellent idea! "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
JLee
wow, what a fight! i mean sparr...well it didnt turn out like it was suppose to be. my muay thai friend "accedently" kicked my other friend(who studies wing chun) in the balls...he was on the ground for quite a while...so i guess the fight was over. and as for my other friends, my jkd friend kicked some serious *, he handed dave(the guy who studies Jun Fan) his *. o btw, it wasnt full contact..except for the Mauy Thai and Wing Chun sparr... TheDevilAside
yeah yeah yeah, nobody cares, can I get my money now? On a more serious note, why don't you try out a few classes of either arts? They're both great arts. Just find out which style suits you better, for instance, I hate grappling/wrestling and I can't stand fluff and unecessary movements (like a 360 spin kick or something), so my base is a striking art, American Kenpo, which is very direct, practical and to the point. Ironberg
If I were in your shoes and had the opportunity to study Muay Thai - I'd go for it. However, I'm not in your shoes, and the nearest Muay Thai gym is about a six hour drive. Rich_2k3
Depends what u want, muay thai is more full-contact and ring fighting and obviously is more sport orientated. Theres lots of body conditioning like heavy bag and stuff. Wing Chun is a very effective self-defence martial art, one of the best. Its actually what Bruce Lee trained before he devised his own art (JKD). Both very good arts, dunno what i'd go for though, i'd have to see what the clubs were like in my area.
