TheDevilAside
First, go to Brinkster.com (or Geocities.com but in my opinion, they suck) and set up an account. From there, you're going to need to either learn HTML or know how to use a program called Dreamweaver. That, or you can use "create-a-page" tools that websites like Geocities give you.. but that means your website is probably not going to be very attractive. Check out your library, they usually have free HTML classes, or sign up for a highschool/AIMS class, HTML is really, really easy to learn. Actually, cha-ching! I found the perfect thing for you. http://www.bushido.us/wizard.cfm There you go, it's an easy way to create a website and it will look good, too. And I'm pretty sure it's free (atleast it says it is). "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
Martial Boy
Hi, its $75 per month for advance package. But I'll look for other site for cheaper.
Mc. Steve
You can use MSWord and then instead of saving click "Save as Web Page". Or learn HTML, which isn't that hard. There will be tutorials everywhere (example), or get the book "HTML for dummies" (amazon or cheaper) There are infinite possibilities. Just google for it. S EDIT: Also you might want to look into photoshopping so you can make avatars, not with paint. No offence, I just don't like paint, unless you're drawing dinosaurs. Mc. Steve
Oh and as for paying, check your ISP web-page, coz they might offer some webspace. Blueyonder definatly do. Geocities do free webspace, but it's pretty unreliable. User friendly though, and they've got a webpage maker too. PM me if you have trouble with uploading your pages. TheDevilAside
Hi, its $75 per month for advance package. Lol, sorry, I thought it sounded too good to be true. As far as for web services, I would definitely go with Brinkster, it's easy and reliable and gives you enough space to create a good website (assuming you're not going to have any downloads). Oh, and it's free, unless you sign up for a professional package, which I don't think you need. You can use MSWord and then instead of saving click "Save as Web Page". That's a good idea, except that only works if you're going to design one page exclusively. I'm not really sure if there's any way to bind pages together, such as that there's buttons that lead to another page... such as Home, Links, Contact, etc. But for now, that might be all you need. https://www.geocities.com/dogsmclan/ There's a website I made after 6 months of teaching myself Photoshop, Dreamweaver and taking HTML at a library, so it's really not that hard. Mc. Steve
You wrote all the scripts yourself? Nice, I couldn't be bothered with Javascript, just felt I didn't really need it for what I wanted. Nice and simple pages. Don't really care much about presentation meself. monkeygirl
Javascript does some nice little things that really give a site a nice, complete look...but no, you don't really need it. 1st dan & Asst.
