I'm not going to vote, because I've paid by several methods:

Per lesson for private instruction.

We chip in as a group and buy training apparatus as needed.

Per week.

Per month.

Walk in fees when visiting, which is like per lesson or week.

Free when i get really lucky.

Seminar fees, which cover varrying ammounts of time and training.

I've paid for video courses for supplimental training.

When you live in a semi rural environment, away from the large towns, you take what you can where you can find it. One thing I won't do is sign a contract.

Freedom isn't free!

i train for free but we charge the junior students on monthly basis. the money usually goes to the fuel of our sensei and food if we have somkind of gathering or party etc. we all used to train for free all you have to do is show up with a minimal fee for registration but younger students seemed not to take the training seriously since its for free. sensei and i also used to teach private lessons but students tend to control our time. students should wait for the teacher not teacher waiting for the student.

why did we surrender lord?

I have a yearly membership (?) an I pay £4 a lesson, no matter which instructor I've got (2nd Dan or his dad 4th Dan, maybe 5th now. Hmm...). Drunken Monkey, my mate pays insurance (£20) yearly and monthly unlimited training (£25)

I pay £3 per lesson for Karate and £4 per lesson for Aikido.

Membership of the FSK (for karate) is £15 per year, same for the NAF (Aikido).
