Rich_2k3 Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Ironberg, u were unlucky with your growth spurts. Most ppl have a few growth spurts through their teens and basically grow at a steady rate over a long period of time and still reach say 6'4''. These ppl have kept in proprtion because their exercise rate matched their growth rate. U then see ppl who grow very fast in one short growth spurt and were probably taller than everyone when they were younger. These ppl are unlucky because they are growing very fast upwards but are growing slow in mass. These ppl need to match their exercise rate with their growth rate which is somtimes impossible. Its all about luck, growing fast early is a bad thing. Its hard to explain in writing . "When my enemy contracts I expand and when he expands I contract" - Bruce Lee
Ironberg Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 Yeah! I have to agree with you - growing too early and rapidly has quite a few negative connotations. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
TheDevilAside Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 I had major growth spurts when I was younger. But now I'm 16, 6'1" and 180 lbs and I don't seem to be growing anymore :/ "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
