I have 2, a celtic arm band that goes all the way around and a 4 leaf clover with a football in it. Both have significant meaning to them and I don't regret them at all. Both are above the sleeve line so I can wear short sleeve shirts to work.

I've got 4 tattoos so far - a tribal band on my upper left arm, the kanji for "karate" on my upper right arm, a horse between my neck and my collarbone on the left side (but you can't see it when I've got a top on) and the shotokan tiger symbol under the karate kanji tattoo.

I'm getting another one done at the weekend, the Welsh Dragon (my home country!). It's my first tattoo in colour - all my others are black. I've heard that red (which will be the colour of my dragon) is the worst tattoo colour for fading, can anyone confirm or deny this??

I have 4 so far and plan on getting many more. I also have multiple brands along my torso and upper arms. I can still wear a long sleeve shirt and have them be unseen.

What's branding like in comparison to tattooing? More or less painful?

Body modification does rock!! (although removing piercings for training becomes time consuming when you get too many.. lol)

Branding hurts for a brief moment and then goes numb. The reason for this is that the nerve endings are damaged. The pain is a little more intense than a tattoo.

And yeah, taking out piercings to train sucks.

I voted for "No, but I would like one/some"

I always thought having a kanji tatoo on my left shoulder would be cool but never had the conviction to get it done... it then became sooooo popular to have kanji tatoos and it would have demeaned my personal marking... good job I didnt get it done I guess! :kaioken:

Saw a strange tatoo in a bar in Liverpool, here in the UK (the Krazyhouse if anyone knows it)... a girl had 4 horizontal bars on her shoulder... I can only imagine this means she is a 4th dan (looked like dan stripes on a belt)!

Never know - one day I may permanently mark myself - will add to the range of scars i guess and hopefully look prettier :o

I've got 3 Tattoos...one on my shoulder, one on the nape of my neck, and one on my right calf.

aefibird you asked if red fades...I have a Maple Leaf on my calf and the red does seems to fade and I think it's a hard colour for them to fill in, seeing as how it looks like blood as they work  so I can see spots thet need touch ups in mine.

Mine was mostly black, but originally had a little red and yellow in it. The red did fade first. All that's left is grey now, which is ok with me. Tattoos, like their owners, should age gracefully but never mellow.
