aefibird Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I'm doing up (very slowly) an old VW Beetle. They always get my vote, but it isn't really the type of thing you're looking for... DLopez Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Engine building is my other hobby! I have a '98 Trans Am that I'm building a new motor for. It's going to be BIG too! 408 c.i.!! Oh, the sound of a big V8... Sweet! Should be done in a few days... I can't wait to get out of this PT Cruiser rental I'm driving in the meantime! ZR440 Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 408? A .030 over 400 block? Nice. That might even give my Buick 231 a run for it's money. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
DLopez Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Sweet! I've always liked Buicks... but deep down, I've been a Poncho man ever since I can't remember when! My current license plate reads RUN 11S, but I'm hoping I'll have to change that to RUN 10S so it will be "accurate"! ZR440 Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 You're outa my league. I'd have to buy a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, run race gas, on and on and on. I just dropped a fresh rebuild in mine too, and hopefully will have it firing within the next few weeks. What a money pit. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
