Squawman Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I was wondering if there was some kind of Jiu-Jitsu organization. TaeKwonDo has the World TaekwonDo federation and things like that where you can be certified same with Karate. If I went into a Jiu-jitsu school what should I be looking for in certification.
matt jiujitsufighter Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 um you want to see a certificate, and you want to research the sensai/instructor and his master/instructor. you can probably find out alot about them on the web a little boxing, a little wrestling, a little muay thai, and a lot of jiujitsu( brazilian)
SevenStar Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 you can with bjj. That's not necessarily true with tjj. That's why I asked.
Guy_Mendiola Posted May 16, 2004 Posted May 16, 2004 In BJJ there are I think only two BJJ organizations and that is the Gracie Academy and the Machado Academy, But I have no idea about the Japanese Jiu-Jitsu style.
