blitzcraig Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Ironberg....sounds like you've done your homework....and I agree with pretty much everything you've said. But the down fall is is that no matter who you find and how much "you" think things are going great, you could be wrong and end up like me . #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
Ironberg Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Yep - I'll agree with you there. Life sure ain't predictable is it. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
blitzcraig Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 Not one bit predictable. Now im a little afraid of another serious relationship because I dont want to have my heart ripped out and stomped on again. And I hope I dont treat the next girl wierd because of previous circumstances, because that would be totally unfair.
Beka Posted April 2, 2004 Posted April 2, 2004 blitzcraig- You can't go into a relationship with fear. You shouldn't stay away from them because of fear, either. Every now and then people need time to themselves, and that is normal, and good to recognize. But don't let past events sour your future prospects. Learn from them, of course, but never assume that the next one will do as the last. I'm sorry to hear about your break-up, but you're strong enough to get through it, and you're strong enough to stand on your own. That's something that I've learned from karate. I broke up with my ex the same week I started taking lessons, and it hardly phased me. I realized I didn't need the man, and since then, I've refused to waste time on men who aren't good enough for me. So hopefully, you're also able to realize how strong you are and recover from the heart break. Boy howdy have I been there, before! Let me tell ya!! Okay, since I'm getting all feminine, I think it's time to stop typing...
Ironberg Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 Beka is right. Neither you or your future relationship doesn't deserve to have your unfortunate circumstance stand in the way. Take some time to reflect and confirm your own identity - gain the correct perspective of yourself. You have no power over anyone else but yourself. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
WolverineGuy Posted April 3, 2004 Posted April 3, 2004 Relationships are a wonderful thing, but they shouldn't take precedence in your life. Nor should you compare one to the other, because its always a unique situation. Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon."
sidekick Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 yeah i think i am the brick type a girl waved at me today and i didnt react cause i thought she wanted to play some joke on me then my friends called me an idiot and i noticed how negative i think about women. must have been caused in my youth by some kind of incident or something. cause everytime i see a woman i get negative emotions the same as if someone wanted to pick on me. weird. Your older sister probably teased you in your crib when you were little. My older sister used to cheat me out of my candy when i was little, women can be sly.
blitzcraig Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Yea, I think the biggest thing is that I was ready to marry her and so I thought I would never have to go through break ups and all the bad stuff again because I really trusted her. But hey...im 20, I dont need to get married yet. So Kle1n, how are things going with the ladies? Find one that you can not only have as a g/f but as a best friend too. #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
blitzcraig Posted April 5, 2004 Posted April 5, 2004 Im wanting to ask this girl that i've seen around my school out on a date today if I see her. She's usually in the same place in the cafiteria(sp) on mondays at the same time so if I see her im gonna talk to her. Wish me luck!!
