Goju_boi Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 I don't think he should of taken so much abuse. He should of just done something to scare her so she would stop. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Balrog Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 FridayI'm proud of him for having self-control. It takes courage to put up with abuse when every fiber is screaming for revenge and retaliation that would be so easy to mete out.Wow.That young man is a true martial artist in every sense of the term.
Goju_boi Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 guess so,but being a martial artist means being able to apply self defense when needed. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
Balrog Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 guess so,but being a martial artist means being able to apply self defense when needed. It's also knowing when not to use your physical skills, and sometimes that's even harder to do.
Goju_boi Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I guess, I haven't actually needed them so I'll just take your word https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
KaratekaAndy Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Very good article. My respect goes to "L" for his self-control and indomitable spirit in the situation. This one should be put into Black Belt magazine in my opinion.I agree. He reacted in a mature manner when anyone I know would have "decked" the girl. "...to stand between the candle and the shining moon..."
jaymac Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 I think he displayed awesome self control. It is sad that it happened over such a long period of time. In this day, he would have been the one who would have been punished for striking a girl. That is just how it is. Even if he was screaming self defense. It has been 2 years since this article was written. I wonder how things worked out? A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
Ace2021 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Something like this happened to me, accept it went a very different way:I'm in highschool..a freshmen, and another girl that I didn't know was always hitting me and doing obscene things like spitting water on me.I told my dad, he just said stop being a wuss. (figures)So I decided to try a little reverse psycology, everytime she did something mean, and said she didn't like me, I just said "The more dislike me, the more I like you." What do you know, she's my girlfriend now. P.S. Very nice story, correlates to my signature in a way. A New Age Dawns
Ace2021 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 and I can't edit that but I meant: "The more you dislike me, the more I like you." A New Age Dawns
