What training/protective equipment do you own?

I have:

-heavy bag

-home made wooden dummy

-tennis ball attached to elastic and a headband(home made)

-home made grappling dummy

-bag gloves

-sparring mitts

As you can see i make most of my equipment so i can get it just right and i just enjoy creating it.

I own weights also, but i dont tend to use them very much. My focus is more often on technique rather than strength.

just wondering, what kind of dummy did you make?

what did you make it from and what do you use it for?

y'know, what do you do on it?

Drunk Monk, I've made several dummies. If you want to start a dummy thread, when I get time I'll describe a few. They are great, you can strike full force with targeting and technique. Have someone stand behind them with padded sticks and strike at you for a dose of realism. I used to leave one out on the patio, and every time my wife got up in the night and looked out, she nearly had a heart attack! Dang useful to have around!

Drunken Monkey,

My dummy is pretty basic, i simply drilled 2 holes into a post that holds up my garage and put a stick in each hole, similar to the 'arms' on a wing chun wooden dummy.

I practice blocking, parrying, striking, 'trapping' etc.
