afitzwater Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Can someone recommend some decent books on handcuffing or even some websites that have a few techniques to show? Thanks.
TheDevilAside Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 What kind of handcuffs techniques? Defense against them? Attacking with them? Just techniques on how to handcuff someone? I can't suggest anything more than a Police training manual. ...if those even exist. "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Sir Winston Churchill
afitzwater Posted March 4, 2004 Author Posted March 4, 2004 Heh, sorry for being a litte broad on it. I am actually looking for both defensive and offensive techniques. Anything will do. I just want to learn what I can [EDIT] Also, not looking for direct attacking with them really but as follow-up and finishing techniques.
delta1 Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Website with books: http://www.ryukyu.com/id145.html Can't recomend any of them personally, but you might find something there. Another possibility would be to develope some police contacts and see if any of them need an ma type dummy to practice on. But, I ought to warn you, it @#^* well hurts! Freedom isn't free!
Bdaze Posted March 5, 2004 Posted March 5, 2004 heh, the cop at my highschool is the fastest handcuffer in the state (no joke, he won a competition) maybe ill ask him If in your journey you encounter God, God will be cut ~Hatori Hanso (sonny chiba)
Iron Arahat Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Heh, sorry for being a litte broad on it. I am actually looking for both defensive and offensive techniques. Anything will do. I just want to learn what I can . Why would you want to learn such a thing? Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
Northren Ogre Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 I know a few tricks for getting out of the fancy bracelets, so does Iron Arahat. http://prkickboxing.tripod.com
sansoouser Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 how do you hand cuff a one armed man? or an armless man? The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
White Warlock Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 A more apt question would be... why would you need to? "When you are able to take the keys from my hand, you will be ready to drive." - Shaolin DMV TestIntro
