Draven Chen Zhen Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Choy lay fut Hun is that Tiger Claw? :: Bless me father, for I have just killed quite a few men ::https://www.tricking.be
White Warlock Posted February 27, 2004 Posted February 27, 2004 Here's where i step on toes. Choi or Choy = Tsoi Lay or Lee = Li Hun = Hung Tsoi Li Ho Fut Hung Ga = San Soo http://www.geocities.com/san_soowushu/Drama2.html http://www.clfma.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=33 Choy lee fut and tsoi li ho fut hung ga (san soo)... supposedly same origins, diverging only within the last few generations. I have yet to visit a choy lee fut school to determine whether the systems are, in fact, the same... but arguments posed on various sides do tend to end up with the same seeds, and thus the same tree. From what i have thusfar been able to gather though, 'san soo' is far more into hands-on practice, while choy lee fut is more into forms. This is a hotly debated issue and frankly, too political for my tastes. "When you are able to take the keys from my hand, you will be ready to drive." - Shaolin DMV TestIntro
Clfhs4life Posted March 16, 2004 Author Posted March 16, 2004 never heard anythng we did called san soo we pratice san shou though . its entirerly possible that it came from choy lay fut cause i never seen san soo techniques before or at least as far as i know. hung sing is the branch of choy lay fut i do. this is a clf form i saw on a dif forum formhttp://https://www.floridakungfu.com/fiveanw.wmv
White Warlock Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Umm.. no. San soo and san shou are entirely different things. No relation whatsoever. "When you are able to take the keys from my hand, you will be ready to drive." - Shaolin DMV TestIntro
