Natural Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 When you felt on the ground and you flip back up, whats the proper name for it. I can do it 4/6 times but when doing in cement or slipper surface my chance are 1/6 and I can't do it when people is watching so is their any tips on that. A karate punch it is like a dasvasted stick blow. Instead, a blow of Kung Was is comparable to a lash with a chain that has attacked, allaltra extremity one ball of ferro
WolverineGuy Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 It sounds like you're talking about a kip-up...but I'm not quite sure...could you do a more detailed description. Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon."
monkeygirl Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 If you pull your knees into your chest while laying on your back, then kick out and fling your body upwards... that's a kip-up. If not, I have no idea what you're talking about. Then again, it's entirely possible that you don't understand me either, considering the freakish description I just gave... 1st dan & Asst. WolverineGuy Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 hehe, I wouldn't have called that "freakish"...perhaps mangled, mutilated, or *, but not freakish. jk, sweetie. Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon."
Sasori_Te Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 It's a kip up. It's also best kept for television and musical tournament kata. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
Drunken Monkey Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 why am i responding to this??? anyway, let's see, when you swing your legs up, you have to lift your hips off the ground so that when you kick up you have space for your legs to get underneath your body. when i've seen people and fail, it is most often because they don't anywhere for their legs to go underneath them. as for problems in front of an audience... well, it's quite obvious that you're a kid so i can forgive you on that... anyway, i used to insert it into fight scene demos but i try to work it into a half back flip straight onto back then spring back. flows better this way and gives me room to have a little 'dramatic pause'. don't try to push with hands. they're there mainly for keeping your back stable so you don't 'pitch'. slippery surface has no effect if you are moving the right way. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Natural Posted February 25, 2004 Author Posted February 25, 2004 I kind of agrred to you drunken master, but my flip chance is getting better each passing days. I trianed all day if I can on my karate, thanks. To those people that need descriptions on the flip thing: is when you are on the ground and try to get back up by using your leg to swing back up on your feet...kip up is right I guess. A karate punch it is like a dasvasted stick blow. Instead, a blow of Kung Was is comparable to a lash with a chain that has attacked, allaltra extremity one ball of ferro
