renketsu
Katana stupidity I think this really classes as "Oh my God" rather than "funny" but still worth a watch... some American TV shop program (I think) where the presenter demonstrates how strong (or not) a katana is. TKD Chosen One
Haha, that was pretty funny. Who does that? There are certain things you dont bang around!!! I like how the other guy comes over and tries to make a joke about it.
TheDevilAside
I wonder what he was trying to say.. "and a nice thing about these practice katana's..." is that they're very durable? Yeap. Serves them right for selling a cheap product like that. If they were display swords, I could understand, but if they're *practice* katana's, you'd think they wouldn't snap in half that easily. Ironberg
Holy Cow! That's just nuts. It does serve them right for making them so cheap. After watching it a couple times, however, it doesn't look like the blade made a deep cut or penetration. So much for the sarcastic remark about "emergency surgery". Red J
Geez, that could have been a lot worse. I wonder how many they ended up selling after that mishap. So much for quality control. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Spielwurfel
:S What a shame!! Selling such a wonderful sword (I mean the katana by itself, not that piece of twisted metal) in a TV program is idiot. That was an ornamental katana (very cheap, obvipusly), and just an idiot would use that to hit something. You can buy a katana on the internet, sure, but it must be of good quality.... Actually, the good quality of a real katana is (at least for me) one of the main characteristcs of the katana. But if you want to have a a katana to train seriously, it must be done by an japanese artisan. Sometimes, when I hear a group of people talking about MA stuff and all that thing "Wow!! Kung Fu is blah blah blah... And I know know what more... And that sword is amazing..." I just can't stand hearing it... Hear that people saying just idiot things about that without any kind of knowlegde about that... :S It's a pity...
