Night-Dragon Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I think that one should give everything in trainig Kata and Kihon. pratice them a lot, make tecniques perfect: powerful, quick, put emphasys on the attitude while working on these. Yes, why not, train that as you should kill someone, with the same power needed to crash an elephant and the same speed it takes to evade a snake bite. But ! Kumite - sparring is different. Don't try to win or damage your opponent, just work to defend against his attacks and lightly reply. It will make a serene pratice of kumite , avoiding risk of damage someone for nothing back. Kata and Kihon can build up a great deadly blade Kumite makes you able to hold the blade in the cover -I hope my inglish wasn't so bad - Smile - Fight - No fear for death - respect the 4 laws of Ki - that's all I think...
Cmon Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 I enkoyed that WW. Being a younger MArtist i had never considered tthe situation from that view point before. I had never thought that they are risking their well ebing so i can gain information. Thanks i will consider people more often when i train. Its not tat i was not careful before but this makes you think more. Brilliant article.
