Mink Posted February 14, 2004 Author Posted February 14, 2004 Dont really know how to or even if you can add to the poll. but if you write the color in that would be great ...so far blue is a color i should have added in ..Sorry https://www.Kyokushinaustralia.comDont be Bias in styles for we are all Practitioners of Martial Arts!
Red J Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Black, no bleach needed....black signifies advanced rank students, beginning ranks wear white. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Rich_2k3 Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 White, but you should also have put red on there becuse they are probably the third most popular colour of Gi. purple? "When my enemy contracts I expand and when he expands I contract" - Bruce Lee
battousai16 Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 my current school you either have to wear all white or white bottom/black top. i think my favorite uniform ever, though, was one of those chinese shirts with the frog buttons, which was green, and black pants. it was the most comfortable, and the blasted thing stayed closed, unlike the japanese gi tops also, it was green, so i could represent irish pride "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
Mink Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Thanks to Patrick, He has added "other" to the poll! https://www.Kyokushinaustralia.comDont be Bias in styles for we are all Practitioners of Martial Arts!
Kanzashi Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 I like to wear the black gi top with black pants. We have the option of wearing all white or mixing the colours, but it's not usually done. We have different 'clubs' in the school, like the Black Belt Club, Master's Club, SWAT Team and Instructors Assistants. There are different colours for the uniforms in each of these ranging from red top w black pants w red stripes; blue slash top w black or blue pants; and of course the different patches sewn on the gi tops. It's actually quite cool and doesn't make the classes boring with all white gi's. The different coloured belts also add some colour. For outside tournaments, all white gi's are the norm. For Judo, I wore all white, with different colour belts.
battousai16 Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 the entertainment level of your classes rests entirely on the color of the uniforms the students are wearing? "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
rb Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 I only wear a gi for judo which is either white or blue. Blue was instituted for competition to allow easier judging of matches as two judoka can quickly turn into a intertwined blob of arms and legs. Thankfully a judoka must wear a gi of one colour, never mixing the top and bottom.
