renketsu Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 The usual pub sports (darts, snooker, pool) I am also the Cub leader (Akela) of my local scout group and am about to open a specialist karate class just for the cubs in our area to get the new martial arts badge... not sure if I am letting myself in for a difficult 3 months (25 kids between 8 and 11 years old - could be a nightmare!). If it works then it will hopefully become a regular thing 3 or 4 times per year to give them all a chance to earn the badge not to mention try subtly recruiting for my normal classes Oh yeah, finally being a sad computer engineer when at work, I write my own club website Andy Wilkinson (Sandan)Renketsu Karate Club Senior Instructor(http://www.renketsu.org.uk)
Blue Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Aside from martial arts, life carries on. Being a dad is busy work. Between running my two kids everywhere on the face of the planet, softball, basketball, baseball, football. I'm also a guitar player and have been for almost 24 years now ( God i feel old ! ) I love my Telecaster. I also have three amps i play it through, Peavey Classic 30, 64 Princeton and a 46 Gibson ( great tone ). Somewhere i try and squeeze in working out daily, practicing TKD daily, although a shoulder injury has kept me going to class I can still practice all my kicks, just have to take it easy on blocks. First things first though, i have to help at home, since i get home from work at 3 pm there's always lots of cleaning, laundry and supper to make before the kids get home from school, so we all have time to do activities.
BKJ1216 Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 I'm actually very into computers. I do lots of webdesing, computer programming, graphics you name it I probably do it. Other than that I don't really do much, write songs, poetry, stuff like that. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
S. Sakai Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 I build scale models (airplanes, ships etc.). Not to mention family (wife and two kids) who are really understanding of my hobbies.
SaiFightsMS Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Do you specialize in a certain type of models or just planes and ships in general? I used to build scale models of WW1 fighter planes.
