Does anyone know about him and has anyone seen his films? I just had to say those films are the best MA films I've ever seen!

I love it how humorous they are and the quotes the actors make. "Your face is shiny of fighting just like your sword, but the best sword stays still in its sheath".

The main actor in his films is my favorite japanese actor, he's name is Toshiro Mifune and he was a very famous and talented actor in Japan.

I love the fighting scenes - first very slow, just a look into your enemy's eyes and then a quick, fast attack and it's over. I'm sure a swordsman would enjoy Akira's films.

'Seven Samurai', 'Sanjuro' and 'The Hidden Fortress' are my three favorites, I bet at least someone here on this board has seen 'Seven Samurai', it is a pretty well-known film and if you haven't seen it yet you really should. It's in japanese and it's black and white, but it is done so well that it's almost incredible how old films can still be so good!

hey! I just actually found a pic from the movie 'Sanjuro', I thought I'll post it here. And the man with the sword you can see on the pic is Toshiro Mifune.

I like his movies. I didnt really like the "Hidden Fortess". Did you know his movie "Yojimbo" is based on the book "Red Harvest" by Dashiell Hammet. Have you seen "Red Bread" or "Ikiu" thosr are also good movies by Akira Kurosawa.

I love Akira Kurosawa's films. My favourite two movies of his are 'Seven Samurai' and 'Yojimbo'. I had to write a 3500 word essay on 'Yojimbo' for a course I was taking at university. Such hardship... having to watch a great movie over and over again!!

I liked the movie 'Hidden Fortress' because I liked the story about the girl, that princess and how she had to play deaf. I loved her quote: 'You can make me play deaf but you can't deafen my heart!'. And I loved that song she sang in japanese. It sounded sad so I even started to cry! lol

I haven't seen 'Yojimbo' and 'Ikiu' yet, but I will sit down one day and watch them. 'Sanjuro' was a really funny one! I was like laughing all the time! yeah...and I'm gonna watch 'Seven Samurai' now again just cheer myself up...
