Sho-ju Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 http://www.jukokai.com/index.php Anyone belong to this group or know anything about it? OSU!
shotochem Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Not my idea of MA training !!!! I will not just stand there and get nailed in the throat, chest and my........ (I can't even think about its..... ) It's just not right. Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
gheinisch Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 I've heard of it and have seen it the Discovery channel special but thats about it. There has been some questions about the head of the organization Sacharnoski. His credentials may be in question. I don't know, read for yourself and make your own conclusion. I'm sure the art has some very good aspects to it but I'm Shotochem, I'm not going to stand there and take a ridgehand to the throat or a kick to the groin. http://www.e-budokai.com/jukokai/sacharnoski.htm "If your hand goes forth withhold your temper""If your temper goes forth withold your hand"-Gichin Funakoshi
Karateka_latino Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Yes, i've heard the same about them. At first when i watched the TOP TEN MARTIAL ARTS special on TV, i thought it was quite cool. But after some research, it seems they aren't legit.
Sho-ju Posted January 27, 2004 Author Posted January 27, 2004 I watched the videos on there site and they seem to be a very grappling based karate, lots of throws and wrist locks.
equaninimus Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Sigh...will the junky-kai never dissapear? There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!

equaninimus Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Well, their ground techniques must be pretty stimulating, after all they practice "sex way house" karate. tehre was a thread on this group in the "general" section earlier this month that covered more info. Try to keep up, yes? http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=11857 There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!
