Knuth Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 I have done some hunting with a a traditional, wood, recurve bow. Killed a dozen squirrels or so but that is about it. Farthest one was about 30 yards, nailed it to a tree Semper Fi
SBN Doug Posted June 18, 2002 Author Posted June 18, 2002 Good shot! Do you have a site on your bow, or is that with you eye alone? Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
ZeRo Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 nice shot! i couldnt hit a big target from like 10 meters away! i was like 8 at the time.
Knuth Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 While I don't believe in luck I think that shot was pretty close to it since the second fathest one was about 15 yards away. I shoot instinctly which means no sights and you don't even line up the arrow, alot like what you are doing but I use my cheek bone as an anchor point. Semper Fi
SBN Doug Posted June 19, 2002 Author Posted June 19, 2002 :lol:Some say it's better to be lucky that good. (If there were such a thing, of course) Our Master taught us that we COULD use the jaw or ear as an anchor point (ear being a little dangerous). Except that the "correct" way for Korean style archery is accross the chest. He basically said "Whatever works". Kuk Sool Won - 4th danEvil triumphs when good men do nothing.
