Shogun Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Hello all is has been quite a while since i last posted here (karateforums) . Anyways I wanted to know know what tournaments everyone is planning on attending. Is anyone going to Amerikick? http://www.amerikickinternationals.com Does anyone know anything about this tournament? I want to compete in their Demo team competition, it's listed in their divisions, but not outlined in the rules they are using (WSKF rules) can anyone shed some light on this? I also was looking at Victory at valley forge, but I have found no updated info on this tournament. Anyone know anything about this? Good luck, I'll be lookin for you people at Amerikick if your there! Man to man, Soldier to soldier, Dust to dust.

stl_karateka Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 WSKF is a new circuit....the NBL split up and 6-8 formed the WSKF or World Sport Karate Federation under Richard Plowden. The best I can describe them or at least their intentions is not as strict as the NBL but not as lenient as NASKA. This is their first year so expect some complications, but I know they've been meeting for a while now to work out all the kinks, so things should run fairly well. I want to Amerikick but I probably won't make it. I will definately be at: AKA Grand Nationals Chicago - Mar BlueGrass -Louisville, KY- June Tornado Kansas City, MO- not sure when this is And if our team gets funds we have about 5 more we'd like to hit! Sensei John Sharkey Jr. is my instructor in Shorei-ryu and is part of the WSKF. We have a couple of our students heading to this match in March. I will be doing mostly local tournaments since this is my first year back in the circuit since 1988. I will be at the AKA in March so if anyone is going to that one let me know and perhaps we can hook up. It takes a big man to cry, but it takes an even bigger man to point at him and laugh
stl_karateka Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 Cool deal --- I misquoted earlier though --- I believe the AKA grand nationals is in April...not March KarateForums.com Sempai
miguksaram Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 Cool deal --- I misquoted earlier though --- I believe the AKA grand nationals is in April...not March Actually they are holding them in November or December, possibly a New years thing. March they have the AKA "members only" Tournament. Whenever they have them, will see you then. How far is O'fallon from Chicago? It takes a big man to cry, but it takes an even bigger man to point at him and laugh
