I got my black belt in karate when I was 10 years old and am looking to get back into the swing of things again.

I'm 17 now, in good shape, and still remember some of my stuff. I look forward to participating.

This seems like a nice place.

Welcome to the forums Matt. What style did you get your black belt in? Not to take anything away from you but 10 yrs old seems awful young to achieve black belt. It's great that you are starting back your training. Will you be going back to a Dojo for your training? :karate: Thanks for coming to check out the boards. There is a lot of knowledge here to tap into, feel free to ask any questions you may have. :D

I believe it was called Shaolin Kempo karate, some sort of kung fu if I can remember correctly.

I started when I was 4 and moved up some of the earlier ranks quite quickly.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Just remember, you've been out for a little bit, so don't get frustrated if it all doesn't come right back to ya.

Four years old! My God! That was young!! :)

I started training when I was about 11 or 12 but then didn't start in karate until aged 15.

Welcome to the board :)

Hello and welcome :karate:

Never think that Karate is practiced only in The Dojo. The entire world is a Dojo, and true Karate training takes place twenty-four hours a day.

When you get more advanced, are you gonna change your name to "Moderatebie101" then "Expertbie101?" Just wondering :)
