Training in Japan?

Recommended Posts

Hey Grandmasterchen-- Can you tell us more about Japan? I would assume you speak the language. I have been studying Nihongo for awhile now. My spelling is bad, but I can speak without an accent---

Watashi wa Nihongo ga scoshe wachrimasu shoste scoshe hannashemasu, demo mada jozu ja arimasen. Nihon ne, doko ne soondeimaska? Itsucara acheda ne imaska? Caruma o moteimaska? Nihon no tomodachi ga imaska? Yanna to ee otenke des ka? Hetodi de eekemashta ka? Domo arigato goziamasu! Kanpai!

The patch or crest worn by Isshinryu karateka often raises admiration and curiosity. The patch is based on a day dream Tatsuo Shimabuku had in the fifties while he was creating his karate style. This dream was the missing piece in the puzzle called Isshinryu. The patch is often incorrectly called Mizu Gami, which means 'water goddess'. Originally the Isshinryu emblem was called 'Isshinryu No Megami', which means 'Goddess of Isshinryu'. The goddess is the Goddess of Isshinryu karate and not the goddess of water.

training is training no matter where you go, if you want to go to another country go there for the culture, not the training. There are bad and good instructors here just like any other country. So keep that in mind.
