Mcdojos?

Recommended Posts

Firstly he was unable to throw any kicks, secondly boxers are very good at throwing fast punch combos and weaving out of harms way, he is trained differently, but remember this is in a boxing ring, with full contact boxing gloves, he would be unable to use many of his blocking techniques, many would actually be illeagle moves. Remember this; on the street its very different, u have free hands to grab, grapple, block, utilize pressure points with various hand techniques, throw kicks etc etc, the list is endless, the only thing he could do was punch, which as a boxer u would be munch better at and perform various boxing blocks and dodges that he would not have learnt. Its like a tennis player being beaten by a badminton player, its a hole different game.

I know we were discussing this in another thread, but when you're a fighter, you never grapple a grappler, kick a kicker, or box a boxer. While the karateka can punch, he's playing to your strength in a boxing ring, which gives you a DECISIVE edge. Put the boxer in a point sparring match, it's gonna be a totally different game and result.
