the only guy i know in london from Ng Chun Hong in london is ML's place.

i guess you're one of his then.

as for me,

i'm a bit of a 'mutt'.

my wing chun training history is a very long and complex one spanning fifteen years, more off than on...

and five different teachers.

post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.

from what i've seen of mantis, it fights a bit like wing chun.

as for the position in the pic, you have to try it for yourself.

hold your arms as shown in the pic but with your hand open palm, fingers pointing to the sky.

then rotate your hands into the position shown in the pic.

this looks alot like what yip taught with the exception of the dangling claw.

I went over to one of Chan's schools in Tampa and posed as a moron. they start thier new students on wingchun and teach that as the foundation of mantis style.

I recall both kwong and Lam Jo telling me that durring the big fight both Yip and Chan reverted almost exclusively to wing chun. durring the fight yip discovered a weakness in kwong's method and tried to teach it, on the spot, to chan.

Ah! Mantis Grasshopper, i think you would do very nicely on a bowl of rice!
