tsukimaster Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 I've taught everyone from a 6 year old, to a 90 year old man in a wheel chair. Everyone can gain some benefit fom the arts. Shidoshi
Ironberg Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 A wheelchair martial artist. Are you kidding!!! Seriously, I've seen a 64 year old man test successfully for his blackbelt. He did sparring, forms, kicks, and broke concrete. Gotta give him credit for persuing so much activity courageously at his age "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
wado_lee Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 ive also trained with someone in a wheelchair MA is for everyone theres no one style just your style---------
Drunken_Apprentice Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Lord, I hope 20 isn't too old. I'm 30 and I intend to start training in JKD and BJJ!
Ironberg Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Common - I see people starting in their middle ages all the time, and 30 isnt' middle aged. I recently saw a 50 yr. old male successfully test for his black belt despite the fact that his right knee was really botched up.
