I just mean REAL fighting. Like a street fight, no rules. Who is the best fighter in this situation?

same answer applies. Mirko is a special forces croatian police officer..i bet he knows a thing or two about about real fighting.

I don't think there's any way to determien who is the best fighter in the world, because there are so many variables.

Sure, you can say who is the best boxer in a certain weight division, on a particular day..or Pride fighter, or K1, etc. but that's for that event, that particular day. But would they be considered to be the best fighter overall? No, I think not.

I think that yes, there probably is one person on the planet that in a no rules fight might be considered the best fighter in the world, but I suspect he is somebody that nobody has ever heard of outside of his own laittle circle.

Just for example, take a legitimate Okinawan karate Grand Master. They train a lifetime for self defense where no rules are in place. If any of you have ever had the opportunity to work one-on-one with any of these people, you probably walked away from the experience very humbled and awed by the way that they can move and the flow of their techniques. The one in particular that I had the opportunity to work with twice was arouind 50 when I first met him, and in his 60's the 2nd time. There was little doubt in my mind that this man, who stood about 5'5" tall and was far from an imposing figure, could bounce me at 6'6" tall and 240lbs, around with little effort. His awareness of his surroundings was borderline scary for me, as he knew where everybody was, and what was happening around him at all times...while seemingly relaxed an enjoying himself.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.

MIRKO CRO COP FILIPVIĆ is on my opinion best stand up fighter, Nogueira beated him in pride, but Mirko isnt real ground Fighter. It depends on rules of course cause Mirko would beat Nogueira in K1 rules.

Coleman (Not mark but Gary) :-)

Period and end of story.

Okay not the end.

depends for the street were there are no rules! Probably the best fighter is the the one who has weapon in hand and the loser the bullet in the head. Basically the person who survived. For fighting orginzations which all I know right now is UFC and Pride. UFC= Rand Corture But then that would be the LH weight class. Pride = Silva is bad *. Nog is outstanding also.
