KickChick
ah...I see how you're ranks are conducted. In our school when one earns their green belt they advance to more difficult techniques...hook kicks, jump spin hook & rounds...etc.hence, we regard our green belts as more advanced students than gold & white. Actually we find they really take that advanced status quite seriously to tackle what lies ahead. Nothing like incentive ...hey Jack ..you're advancing in my eyes! Jack
hehe, it really varies school to school Yep I'm quite pleased with how I'm advancing, that was the best grading I'd ever done We do hook kick not the others tho Take care everyone Jack JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
SaiFightsMS
Congrats Jack. Hope your cat does okay. How old is your little furry friend? I too have a cat and she is developing into a first rate companion. Our belt ranks are a bit odd: white, red, orange, yellow, purple, blue, green, green with stripe, brown, brown with stripe, then black. My green belt test was the one I really thought I might have failed. When I sat back down I thought "Oh no". But it was okay. I think coming close like that (I made a mistake on kata) made me appreciate my green belt more. Funny thing happened that test though. The belt order didn't have enough larger belts. And some of us only had like 2 or 3 inches of belt sticking out on each side of the knot after it was tied. Wow did that feel funny. By the way my next grading went much better. moobrack
On my green to purple white belt test about a 18-20 months back, I double graded and passed with a %62 I think, that was the best grading mark I have ever got.And it was a double grading, Imagine if it was a single belt grading! The most important thing now Jackl is that you have passed, on upward the ladder to greatness you go.Congrats again! Jack
Moobrack, our pass rates are pretty similar to yours For Yellow belt I got a 62% pass, for Green Strip I got a 59% pass, and for green belt I got a stonking 64% pass rate Sai - she's very old. She'll be around a couple more months but thats it.
