sano Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 the other week a wing chun guy came up to me and said that karate is weak and it sucks. before i almost killed him he explained that wing chun was better. we argued for two hours but thats another story. he told me he use to train with a famous wing chun instructor ( tell me if i'm spelling wing chun wrong) that never back down from a challenge. he told me that he challeged the gracies but they said they would fight him only under UFC rules. he refused at first but said ok. but all of a sudden the gracies back down and said they did not want to fight him. now i forgot the guys name so i have a few questions. who is this guy and how powerful is he? cause he scaried the legendary gracies out of a fight. tell me why the gracies where afraid of this man and where is this guy school? And has anybody else heard of this guy? he has instructional tape articles in all of the martial arts magazines so you can see what he looks like. or was the guy a big lair? HAPPY HOLIDAYZ!!! falcon kick!!!
sano Posted December 24, 2003 Author Posted December 24, 2003 and i expect a descent answer from you drunken monkey since you studied wing chun. falcon kick!!!
TJS Posted December 24, 2003 Posted December 24, 2003 proabably emin boztepe. As far as the gracies go, I guess there are always two sides two a story..I doubt the gracies were afraid of him i just dont think The match ever happened for whatever reasons..
SevenStar Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 yeah, definitely emin, and I highly doubt the gracies are afraid of him.
Kensai Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 A challenge has been put down by the Emin, but why should the Gracies fight seeing as they rule the MMA sene anyway. Its his job to come to them. Did the Wing Chun guy by any chance tell you that his techniques were 'to deadly' to practice under MMA rules. If he cant win with rules what chance does he have with out them! ps 'cause he scaried the legendary gracies out of a fight.' - I doubt it. The only challenge that I know of, is the William Cheung fight. Where Emin tackled Cheung to the ground and hit him. By the looks of it they both needed to do some grappling! There was no reason for Cheung to lose if he is a 'master', is this is measure of Wing Chun?! I hope not. Also, getting back on track, anyone that walks up to you and shouts the supremacy of their style is not worth listening to. Unless they do BJJ, apparently its part of thier syllabus.

monkeygirl Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 If you have a question for Kung Fu/Wing Chun practitioners, the best place to put it would be in the Chinese Arts forum. I'll move it there now. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
Thuggish Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 why would you even believe this crackpot? have you ever heard of pathological liars? a broken arm throws no punches
sano Posted December 26, 2003 Author Posted December 26, 2003 thanks you guys. that was his name. and the guy did say he was too deadly for them. but than he said that he was willing to fight uder mma rules but the gracies declined. falcon kick!!!
Drunken Monkey Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 he did not say that he was too deadly for them. he just sent out a challenge because he was annoyed with what the gracies were doing. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
