Icetuete Posted December 22, 2003 Posted December 22, 2003 anyone heard of it? you think that this art is a good way to condition your body? can it be of any use in a street fight? does it have an edge against other kickboxing styles?
SevenStar Posted December 22, 2003 Posted December 22, 2003 I've heard of fillipino boxing, but not kickboxing
Ninja Kl0wn Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 Yaw-Yan, from what little I've seen, looks like Panantukan with more developed kicking skills.
Icetuete Posted January 3, 2004 Author Posted January 3, 2004 that Filipino Kickboxing probably basically is Filipino Boxing with some kicking techniques was quite obvious i rather thought someone might be able to compare it to other kickboxing styles regarding conditioning, rules etc.
Justfulwardog Posted January 19, 2004 Posted January 19, 2004 http://members.aol.com/yawyan/aboutus.htm Here is a link to a site, on it. Check out the way they describe a mountain storm kick. I would like to learn that one. I wonder how well it works though. Does anyone know about this technique? I would love some feedback on it. Ninja Kl0wn Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 From reading thier description, it's just a carbon copy of what Ajarn Chai refers to as a down kick. It's just a Thai round kick going at a downward trajectory. That's what I took it to be anyway.
Justfulwardog Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Thanks Ninja KlOwn JustfulwardogBy daily dying I have come to be. ~Theodore RoethkeEach forward step we take we leave some phantom of ourselves behind. ~John Lancaster Spalding
Guy_Mendiola Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 I think this is similar to Korean Kickboxing.
